Information Hiding in BMP image Implementation, Analysis and Evaluation
Steganography comes from the Greek words steganos, roughly
translating to “covered writing”.
Steganographic techniques allow one party to communicate information to another
without a third party even knowing that the communication is occurring. The ways
to deliver these “secret messages”
vary greatly. This paper explores several methods in detail, and attempts to
test them out in code, and in practice, through several examples.
“The goal of steganography is to hide
messages inside other harmless messages in a way that does not allow any enemy
to even detect that there is a second secret message present.”
